We affirm different worship styles for different services and different churches.

At Heritage, in our main assembly time, we seek to achieve a CONTEMPORARY STYLE with mostly newer songs with an occasional traditional hymn in the mix.

We will often use a PRAISE TEAM to help us sing (they may stand up front, in the back, or sit).

We predominantly use A Cappella singing in worship but occasionally include acoustic guitar to accompany our singing.

We will frequently use special music (solos, quartets, groups, instrumental recorded music, and acoustic accompaniment).

We will be flexible in our worship style and may occasionally use DRAMA, MULTI-MEDIA, and/or other methods to more effectively communicate the message.

Our response time is open for anyone to participate (men, women, boys or girls, members or guests) and is very flexible depending on the leading of the Spirit on any given Sunday. This is a time to share your testimony of how God is working in your life, to express gratitude to God for his blessings and answered prayer, to make prayer requests and to pray for one another and for the church. This is also a time when spiritual decisions are made public, (i.e., join Heritage, be baptized, etc.) so all can share in the joy of spiritual growth. It can be a time of tremendous joy and laughter as well as a time of tears. It is always a time of prayer.

The phrase, “Worship does not satisfy our hunger for God; it whets our appetite”, should be very real for us. Our Sunday assembly is just a spark to begin the fire of worship that should continue all week in our personal devotions to God.
